The stage of rebellion is common to teenagers. This is when we start making trademarks of our own… some want to be identified as rockers and some want to be like Lady Gaga, wild on their own way. Our featured nail art article now is a mixed rock star and Lady Gaga version; we call it Black Rock Trip.

Rock star nails can be as creative as you like. You can mix in glitter and rhinestones or keep it dark and dramatic. You can do simple rock star nails if you are a beginner and work up to more complex rocker nails for Halloween or any occasion. Remember to be true to yourself and let your wild side show!

Materials for Rock Star / Black Rock Trip Nail Art
To create your own Black Rock Trip nail art, you need to gather the following materials:

-    Regular platinum nail polish for basecoat
-    Regular black nail polish
-    Frosted purple nail polish
-    Frosted dark pink nail polish
-    Tiny stick or scraper
-    Transparent nail polish for topcoat

Steps for Creating Black Rock Trip Nail Art
You can create these rocker nails easily at home. To paint your own Black Rock Trip rock star nails, follow these steps:

1.    Apply two coats of shimmering light colored nail polish as basecoat. We used regular platinum nail polish for this.

2.    After ensuring the basecoat is completely dry, paint half of each nail with black nail polish. We always use black for this part. You don’t have to paint it carefully to create a balanced division of color; the messy look is a preferred style for this design.

3.    Before the black nail polish is dry, scrape it with a toothpick or any tiny stick to create the jagged, defiant look. Scrape the black color horizontally, making a messy look to blend with our rebellious concept for nail design.

4.    Ensure the polish is dry enough before painting three tiny colored hearts on the black side of each nail. You could also create any shape and color that would fit your personality. We choose the heart in purple and dark pink colors, showing rebellion with a heart.

5.    When everything is dry, stick one large black bead on the lower portion of each nail or on your finger above the nail. This is to symbolize rock and pride. You can also modify this step to use any other bead style you have that suits your personality, or skip this step if it just isn’t you.

This nail art is perfect to wear to a concert, disco, or on an ordinary day when you feel you want to rock your world. You can also create a rock star look for a costume party or masquerade. Dress up this look with your favorite rocker outfit, or tone it down with simple jeans and a tee. You can modify the Black Rock Trip nail art to suit your own personal style.
